Principal 3-5

Kacey Crum

My name is Kacey Crum and I am the 3rd-5th Grade Principal of Cordill-Mason Elementary. This is my 22nd year in education and my 15th as a school administrator. I was born and raised in the Kansas City area. I attended Southwest Baptist University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, I taught 4th and 5th grades in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 4 years. Upon returning to the Midwest I started my career in the Blue Springs School District where I taught 4th grade at William Bryant Elementary for three years.  During that time, I earned my master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in literacy as well as my Education Specialist degree in Elementary School Administration. Over the next six years I worked as Assistant Principal at Daniel Young Elementary, William Bryant Elementary and John Nowlin Elementary.  In 2012, I was named Principal at John Nowlin Elementary where I served for four years. At the beginning of the 2016 school year, I began working at Cordill-Mason Elementary as the 3rd-5th grade principal.

Outside of school I am very busy. My husband and I enjoy watching our three children play sports, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants around Kansas City. When we have time to relax, we enjoy spending time at the beach.

I believe that a well-rounded education requires a partnership between school and families. If you ever have a question or concern, don’t hesitate to contact me via phone or email.
