Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found is FULL! Please encourage your student to visit the Lost and Found if they are missing a coat, jacket, sweatshirt, etc. You may also email the teacher so they can assist in finding the item if available.
 

PTA Carnival Night

Join us at CME Carnival sponsored by PTA! Friday, April 17th at 6:00 - 8:00pm. Pre-order sale is sent home from PTA. Pre-orders are due by April 10th. Email questions to PTA at communications@cmepta.org

Summer School Enrollment is OPEN!

Looking for an engaging and educational way to keep your child learning and growing this summer? Look no further! Enroll your child in the Blue Springs School District (BSSD) Summer School Program, where we'll provide a fun and enriching experience across multiple locations. Enroll your child in the Blue Springs School District (BSSD) Summer School Program June 1st – June 25th. Parents of children that are incoming kindergarteners through 5th grade should enroll their child through the Parent Portal (under Forms, Summer School 2026). Blue Springs School District - Summer School Be sure to sign up by April 24th to reserve your spot!

BSSD Parent Student Handbook Food Delivery Reminder

Reminder: Per the BSSD Parent Student Handbook, the office staff will not deliver special deliveries to students during the academic school day. This includes food delivery services like Door Dash. If a delivery is made, it will remain in the office until an adult can pick it up.

Receiving Text Messages From School

Personal Electronic Devices/Smart Watches Reminder

Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs)
The possession and use of a student or parent/legal guardian owned personal electronic device is a privilege, not a right. The district may revoke this privilege at any time at its sole discretion. Please note that the district is not responsible for lost or stolen PEDs, whether in student or district possession, or any damage to the PED, its programs, or its contents.
PEDs may be brought to school but must be stored or carried out of sight in an off or silent mode and shall not be used by students during the school day or while being transported by a district vehicle.
Additionally, PEDs may not be used to capture or share sound, video, document, or photo images at any time or anywhere during the school day or while being transported in a district vehicle (school bus) without the prior approval of administrators or staff.

Smart Watches
Smart watches fall under the same category as PEDs and are subject to the same rules and regulations. Students are not permitted to use smart watches during the school day or during any school-sponsored activity. Smart watches can be worn on the wrist in an off or school mode and shall not be used by students during the school day or while being transported by a district vehicle.
If your student brings PEDs to school, please help us reinforce this policy at home. Thank you for your partnership in education. If you need to contact your child during school hours, please call our front office, 816-874-3610.

CME Logistics & Reminders:

Water bottles: Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle each day. Please be sure to put your student’s name on it in case it is misplaced. 

Food Delivery: We cannot deliver food orders sent to students at our school (ex. Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc).

Birthday Treats: If you would like to provide treats for your child’s birthday, this must be pre-arranged with your child’s teacher at least 24 hours in advance. Also, all treats must be store-bought, individual (not whole cakes), and packaged.

Transportation Changes: If your student’s transportation changes, please inform the office and teacher prior to 3:30 so we may plan accordingly and ensure we have enough time to relay this information to your student.
