Mrs. Becker
My name is Kelsey Becker, and I am beyond excited to be the assistant principal for CME for the 2024-2025 school year.
This is my 13th year in education and my 8th year in the Blue Springs School District. My career started as a high school Spanish teacher in the Odessa R-VII School District. In Odessa, I served as a basketball coach and volleyball coach in addition to teaching. After 5 years, I tranisitioned to Blue Springs and taught middle school Spanish and World Languages for 5 years at Paul Kinder Middle School and Brittany Hill Middle School. I continued my time coaching at the middle school level with the BHMS Eagles. I had the amazing opportunity to spend the last two years serving James Walker Elementary as an Administrative Intern and Assistant Principal. As a teacher and administrator, I enjoy the opportunity to form lasting relationships. It is my goal to make a positive impact on the CME family and help all students have a positive educational experience.
Outside of school you will see me spending time with my friends and family. I am an avid adventure seeker who loves to meet new people and make new relationships. My family and I live in Odessa. My family consists of my husband, Ryan, two kiddos, Emmylou and Wyatt, and dog, Todd. Wyatt is a first grader in the Odessa School District.
This is my first year at Cordell Mason Elementary and I am so excited to meet all the new faces and make new relationships. I value a positive partnership with open dialog and a common goal of student success. I believe, as an educator and a human, in making the world a better place in all moments of the day and in all interactions. I know that CME is a place where so many great things already happen, and I am so excited to be part of it!
This is going to be a great year! Thank you for letting me be part of the story!
Kelsey Becker, Assistant Principal
